Our Amazon River-Machu Picchu Inti Raymi Tour consists of a group of 
ten travelers plus a Spanish/English speaking personal tour escort to serve you from the moment you leave Canada.  

The itinerary for the Inti Raymi Tour is different than our regular tour to enable us to be in Cuzco on June 24 for the celebrations (click here to meet this tour's escort).  While in Perú, experienced local tour guides will ensure the adventure is safe and 
full of excitement. 

1st. Day - Jun 20 - Flight Canada-Lima
You meet your tour escort at the Airport, before leaving Canada.  His job is to ensure that you are 100% satisfied throughout your adventure. We arrive in Lima late in the night and transfer to a specially selected hotel for a few hours till our early morning flight to Cuzco. 

2nd Day - Jun 21 - LIMA-CUZCO
After breakfast, we go back to the Airport for our short flight to Cuzco.  Upon arrival Cuzco, we'll meet our local tour guide, and transfer to our Hotel. Welcome drink and morning rest. We tour the City and main ruins the afternoon. Return to our hotel.

3rd Day - Jun 22 - CUZCO
Activities for this day to be determined.

4th Day - Jun 23 - Valle Sagrado (Sacred Valley)
After breakfast in the Hotel, we visit the Incas Sacred Valley, visiting the PISAQ market as well.  We then return to Cuszo and rest.

5th Day - Jun 24 - INTI RAYMI - STONE FORTRESS OF SACSAYHUAMAN
After breakfast we will have the opportunity to participate in the INTI RAYMI festival that take place in the great stone fortress of Sacsayhuaman. It is a day-long festivity to honor WIRACOCHA the God of the SUN. The ceremony starts at the KORICANCHA Temple. The fest includes processions, great concerts, chorus, parades and folkloric dances by people wearing native costumes and worriers using diverse Inca war tools. The central Inti Raymi ceremony lasts three hours.

6th Day - Jun 25 - MACHU PICCHU
After a very early breakfast and transfer to the Train for our trip to "Aguas Calientes".  We arrive and transfer to the Machu Picchu Ruins.  After lunch, we return to "Aguas Calientes" and to our Hotel.

7th Day - Jun 26 - CUZCO
Breakfast and then a free morning in "Aguas Calientes".  We return to Cuzco in the afternoon and to our Hotel.

8th Day - Jun 27 - IQUITOS
Arrive in Iquitos after the morning flight from Lima, reception and transfers to the Hotel Victoria Regia. 
That afternoon, there will be a City Tour that includes Plaza de Armas, Casa de Fierro, Boulevard and the San Juan Artisan Market.

9th Day - Jun 28 - Heliconia (Amazon)
Breakfast in the Hotel Victoria Regia in Iquitos.  Transfers to the Bellavista Port for the trip on the Amazon River to the  Heliconia River Lodge.  We'll visit the Isla de Monos (Island of the Apes) on the way.  Arrival and reception with welcome refreshments.  After lunch, a leisurely walk through the jungle to identify the Amazonian vegetation and animals.  Then we return the Lodge for a siesta and dinner.

10th. Day - Jun 29 - Heliconia (Amazon River)
Very early we'll observe the various birds.  After breakfast, we'll visit the Yaguas native community.  We'll learn their customs and artisan work.  Continuing the experience, we'll visit an artisan distillery where we'll learn the process to make "sugarcane aguardiente", or "moonshine", a locally made liquor.  We'll return to the Lodge for a rest and lunch.  In the afternoon we'll go fishing for piranhas!... in the lakes nearby.  Before dinner, there will be a nocturnal walk, to hear the jungle sounds.

11th Day - Jun 30 - Heliconia (Amazon River)
After breakfast, we'll search the River for dolphins.  Then, we will return to the River Lodge for a rest and Lunch.  In the afternoon, we will visit Hondo Concha, where we will witness the famous "Victorias Regias".  After a siesta and dinner in the Lodge, we'll go out in the evening, looking for aligators in the surrounding areas.

12th Day - July 1 - Iquitos
We'll be returning to Iquitos after breakfast.  In the City we'll visit PILPINTUWASI, to see beautiful butterflies in a special garden.  We'll transfer to the hotel Victoria Regia and everyone gets the afternoon off.
    

13th Day - July 2 - LIMA
We have breakfast in our Hotel in Cuzco and transfer to the Airport for our flight to Lima.  Upon arrival to our Hotel in Lima we will visit the Gold Museum. After touring some interesting points of the city we'll return to our Hotel.  In the evening we'll attend the folkloric show "Brisas del Titicaca".

14th Day - July 3 - Leave Lima

15th Day - July 4 - Arrive in Canada

Included in this tour are all airfares, international and local taxes, tips, transfers while in Perú, hotels, meals, tours and special shows as described in the itinerary.  Prices based on double occupancy.  Single occupancy is extra, however we have singles traveling and room mates can be assigned.

Not included:
Alcoholic drinks, snacks, medical insurance, cancellation insurance and GST for Canadian passengers.
